Driving, Vehicle and Transport Access Assessments

Our expert Occupational Therapists will offer a thorough assessment of a client’s travel and transport needs.

This may include referring for driving assessments, accessing specialist driving lessons and advice regarding driving test theory arrangements.

We are specialists in assessing for suitable car adaptations and can advise on equipment to increase independence when driving. We have extensive knowledge of the range of hoist and car transfer seats available and the best way to transfer in and out of a vehicle. All this ensures that transportation is achieved in a safe and comfortable way at all times.

We support our clients with their purchase of wheelchair accessible vehicles, either privately or using Motability.

We also offer support with the use of public transportation, ensuring that client needs are identified and expert intervention is offered to maximise independence and safety when travelling.
